Sony has said that it has no plans to show off anything resembling a PlayStation 4 at E3.
Sony Computer Entertainment chairman Kazuo Hirai told press at CES in Las Vegas, that as confirmed by Andrew House, Sony are “not making any announcements at E3.
“I’ve always said a 10-year life cycle for PS3, and there is no reason to go away from that.”
This rumour goes in the face of MCV‘s recent report, which suggested that both a new Xbox and PlayStation will be revealed at the industry event, citing solid sources.
Microsoft is yet to confirm or deny rumours about the next Xbox .

That’s ridiculous. They can’t possibly mean that they’ll wait untill 2016/2017 to release a new console, they’ll be far behind both Nintendo and Microsoft, which they’ve already said they didn’t want.
Sure they’ve said a 10 year cycle, but that’s just like the PS2 which they kept supporting till 2010 even with the PS3 out.
Sounds weird, we’ll just have to wait and see…
